Today’s find: What Mary Knew

A big part of our family got together for a Christmas celebration last night…and as I looked around the room at the three generations of Schroeders assembled…I was moved to consider what a blessing it is to have a loving family. Not a perfect family — not by a long shot. But certainly, a loving family. And in that love we share, we are witness to the greatest gift of all: God’s love for each of us.

I suspect it’s something like what filled Mary’s heart, when she first cradled her precious child. And so once again, I give thanks for the gift that children (and parents and grandchildren) are in my life.
