Today’s find: Waiting
Today’s find: Thanksgiving
There are times when I wish God wasn’t quite so faithful in answering my prayers.
Today’s find: Vision
Ever seen a lamb with seven horns and seven eyes? Or how about a lion-like beast sporting six wings, and covered with eyes inside and out?
Yeah, me neither.
Today’s find: Chillin’
The heat didn’t kick on overnight, so things were a bit chilly in church this morning – a reminder that our almost-40-year-old building is showing some unmistakable signs of age. Somehow, the discomfort we felt – we ‘6:30 Mass regulars’ – seemed oddly appropriate as we near the end of the liturgical year.
Today’s find: Balancing act
My beloved SLU Billikens opened the men’s basketball season with a nail-biter of a win on Saturday night, but it was actually the half-time entertainment that wound up bringing the most fervent prayer to our lips.
Today’s find: Bright lights
We were billed as “The Almost Never Quite Ready for Anytime Players”…and it’s safe to say our amateur troupe lived up to its less-than-stellar promotional designation.
Today’s find: Precious jewel
Austria is the place to go, I’m told, if you want to see some of Christendom’s greatest treasures—treasures like a splinter from the cross upon which Jesus hung; one of the nails that pierced his flesh; and a thorn from the crown that mocked his reign.
Today’s find: Among the saints
I am scheduled to die on Saturday night.
Or more precisely, the character I play in an upcoming mystery theater production will be murdered (thankfully, off-stage. No dramatic ‘death scene’ for me!)
