Judas Iscariot is not often considered much of a spiritual guide, but his patterns of thought have been very much on my mind during these last days of Holy Week.

A blessed Holy Week to all…and an invitation: There’s a gathering of Catholic bloggers here at Rann’s place that you might find of interest as you begin your observance of this most holy time of the year.
Holiness has been on my mind in recent posts — including a reflection on the sometimes surprising shape of the holy things in our lives…and on remembering to invite God in to troubling circumstances, so that they can be redeemed.
What a blessing to know that Jesus is–indeed–With Us Still!
Let us pause now…to recall that we are in the presence of the Holy One.
Today’s find: Trouble
Ever have one of those days when you could see trouble coming?
Today’s Find: Crooked
Here’s one reason why we might all want to get to heaven: To witness the epic throw-down verbal sparring match between two of scripture’s heavyweights – Isaiah…and the author of Ecclesiastes.

Heading into the home stretch on Lent this year… so how are those resolutions working out for you? You might find it fruitful to spend some of your time at Rann’s place…to check out what some Catholic bloggers have had on their minds in recent weeks.
My latest posts have touched on a number of subjects — including the spiritual link between two biblical women … thoughts about how gratitude is the best attitude when there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day … a reflection on the life-giving streams into which we sometimes accidentally step … and the grace to be found in the trying circumstances that sometimes surround us. Blessings to all!

Today’s find: Beset
I doubt if my friend would use the word ‘beset’ to describe the way things have gone for him over the past few days. But it’d be an apt choice.
Today’s find: Trickle into Torrent
I was nearly swept away last evening when I inadvertently stepped into a torrent of teenage energy.
Today’s find: Come and gone
It’s been one of those weeks: Seems like — even though I’ve been putting in my hours (and then some) every day, my “to do list” has been getting longer, rather than shorter, all week long. So I was intrigued to discover that the Holy Spirit chose to have me cross paths with a selection from Psalm 90 on Friday morning — the perfect reflection for someone who’s inclined to believe there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.
Today’s find: Greetings
Did you notice? There was blip in the rhythm of Lent today. We celebrated the feast of the Annunciation – the moment when Mary’s ‘yes’ changed things forever for humankind.
This year, the feast happens to come during the third week of Lent – just a couple of days after we hear the story of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. It’s an interesting juxtaposition, to consider the divine greetings these two women received.

If you find some time in between games during March Madness this weekend…you might want to head on over to Rann’s place for this week’s helping of Lenten reflections from Catholic bloggers.
Among them, you’ll find my own thoughts about how an improbable win can lift one’s heart in gratitude to the Lord; as well as a tribute to the spiritual wisdom of St. Joseph…and some thoughts on another famous patron saint whom we honored this week. Enjoy!
