There’s no feeling quite like that of unmerited grace.
Say, fer instance, hearing your name called as the prize winner in a skills contest…when you know for certain you’re simply not all that skillful.
This much I know: I absolutely HATE being ‘chumped.’

The beatitudes are a load. And sometimes, I find that I’m inclined to take cover in their sheer expanse.
I wasn’t really looking for proof that ‘God is in the House’…but I got some anyway when we had the chance to complete our Kairos Weekend at Menard this past Saturday and Sunday.
As a rule, I don’t expect St. Patrick’s Day to be a source of many blessings in my life. For the most part, I find it a tad tiresome – all the green and the blarney. (Can you guess that there are virtually no Irish genes in my bloodline?)
But St. Patrick’s Day 2014 is turning out to be a bit different, it would appear.
