The calendar said it was “Mardi Gras” as the Billlikens took to the court versus LaSalle last night. But all in all, Chaifetz Arena seemed to have more of an “Ash Wednesday” vibe going throughout the game.

‘Fished my wish’ at Mass this morning.
Some background: I was suitably amused the other day to discover @BillDonahy’s ‘Catholic Guide To Ashes’ on the Twittersphere. Tickled enough, in fact, to retweet his graphic – along with a note that I most often experience ‘The Blob’ when the ashes are imposed.
Today’s find: Hunger
They weren’t exactly terms of endearment, the first words my wife—my Paradise Partner—spoke to me this morning: ‘I’m hungry,’ she said. But I took no offense, because frankly, I resembled that remark.
Today’s find: Beginning…with the end in sight.
The ashes were all around me at Mass this morning, and yet I found myself drawn to a different word in the liturgy.
