Today’s find: Course correction

Surely among the least of the deprivations caused by Covid-19, I note that today was SUPPOSED to be ‘Opening Day’ for our golf league.

Under the circumstances, it makes all the sense in the world for us to push our tee times back a bit. But it’s weird, too, not really having any idea when league play can safely begin. Two weeks? Two months? There’s simply no map for this “Covid” course we all find ourselves playing…no precedent to follow.

That said, perhaps there’s a measure of grace to be found in remembering Opening Days that DID go off as planned. So in the spirit of Throwback Thursday, I offer you a link to the blog post I wrote a couple of years back. Hope y’all enjoy!

Today’s find: O, Mercy!

“Give thanks to God who is good, whose faithful love endures forever!” Ps 107

Let us pause now…to recall that we are in the presence of the Holy & Merciful One.

    Thank’s John,

It also would have been opening day for the Cardinals, it is now opening day for house cleaning and lawn mowing, two things that I’m better at than Golf.

    • I’m making it a point NOT to have Opening Day for the Job Jar, though. It’s really Ok if some things wait!😝

As many members of the league came out today without an after round social gathering, we may have committed a sin. Upon returning home immediately after the round many wives will be surprised thinking that 9 holes in the golf league always used to take 5 or 6 hours. Our cover has been blown.
