Today’s find: O King and Keystone

Reminded that at the name of Jesus, every knee must bend…we acclaim the Lord’s coming as we pray the sixth O Antiphon:

O King of all nations and keystone of the Church:
come and save man, whom you formed from the dust!

Newsflash: An eight-month-old sees the world through an entirely different lens than her grandfather does.

What an odd thing to exalt, the cross.

In today’s gospel reading, we hear people saying of Jesus, ‘The Devil made him do it.’

That’s a loose translation, of course: The conversation in question preceded Flip Wilson’s famous comedy routine by about 2,000 years.

One of the things I love about St. Paul—the writer—is that he’s not afraid to ‘borrow’ great material from other sources.
