Gerri and I had a rather unique perspective on what was designed as a visual meditation during our New Year’s Eve retreat at King’s House.
We’d agreed to be “Readers” for the late-evening prayer service – and as such, our behind-the-ambo position meant we saw only the backside of a soul-stirring iconostasis.
As Advent terminology goes, I suspect “rumbustious” wouldn’t make most people’s Top 10 list.
Heck, “rumbustious” probably doesn’t make the list any time of year, at least not for an American like me.
A good friend gently chided us at the post-Mass coffee klatch this morning. Our offense? Not remembering to wish him well on “his” feast day, the Feast of St. James, Apostle.
